I really want to visit Japan! I don't speak Japanese yet, but I will :) (I already started to learn) and I never visited this country. I decided to write some articles about my point of view of Japan BEFORE I live there, in order to comparate before and after. Moreover, it will give ideas for people who want to go there as well and maybe it'll give you the determination to learn Japanese!
I like watching manga. I read maybe 2 or 3 manga in my life, so yeah, not the archetype fan who have to visit Japan, because it's his/her passion.
I learn Japanese by myself by using a website called "やさしい日本語 Le Japonais en douceur", as well as a French Youtube chain.
Before going to Japan, I have to save some money. I use the website "Ici Japon, en direct du Japon" to calculate the approximate budget.
Note: I saved money during 3 years before I went to Japon. I was a student at this time, so I didn't really work (only missions, internships and student jobs).
In order to prepare my all trip, I buy some travel books like Lonely Planet. I really like this book. It is in color and have pictures, so basically better for the lecture haha.

And, of course, I watch a looooooooooot video on YouTube about Japon, from documentary to travel blog and travel tips videos.
