The purpose of this section is to share information around the theme of ecology, the environment, biodiversity ... But not only! It is also to develop a critical mind when faced with the information given in the media and to make up one's own mind on the issue. I don't have any answer to give. I can only share books, films, documentaries, theses, research.

World Water Day
March 22nd
World Water Day is an international day established by the United Nations. Proposed in Agenda 21 during the Rio Summit in 1992 and adopted on 22 February 1993 by the United Nations General Assembly, it is celebrated on 22 March each year with different themes.
The UN and its Member States dedicate this day to the implementation of the UN recommendations, particularly on water saving and improving conditions of access to drinking water, which has been recognised as a fundamental right.
World Bee Day
May 20th
For centuries, bees, known for their hard work, have provided benefits to people, plants and the planet. But did you know that bees are not the only ones who preserve life on earth? By carrying pollen from flower to flower, bees, butterflies, birds, bats and other pollinators facilitate and improve food production, thus contributing to food security and nutrition. Pollination also has a positive impact on the environment in general and helps to preserve biodiversity and the dynamic ecosystems on which agriculture depends.
Commemorating World Bee Day each year will draw attention to the essential role that bees and other pollinators play in maintaining the health of people and the planet. The event provides an opportunity for governments, organizations, civil society and concerned citizens around the world to promote actions to protect and increase the number of pollinators and their habitats, to promote their abundance and diversity, and to support the sustainable development of beekeeping.
World Biodiversity Day
May 22nd
The United Nations has proclaimed May 22 The International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. When first created by the Second Committee of the UN General Assembly in late 1993, 29 December (the date of entry into force of the Convention of Biological Diversity), was designated The International Day for Biological Diversity. In December 2000, the UN General Assembly adopted 22 May as IDB, to commemorate the adoption of the text of the Convention on 22 May 1992 by the Nairobi Final Act of the Conference for the Adoption of the Agreed Text of the Convention on Biological Diversity. This was partly done because it was difficult for many countries to plan and carry out suitable celebrations for the date of 29 December, given the number of holidays that coincide around that time of year.
